About this database
This tool contains reference EDS spectra from approximately 57 mineral standards. Spectra were processed from reference measurements and are intended for educational use. The similarity metric is based on the Pearson correlation coefficient between the uploaded spectrum and each reference, computed on the first 1800 spectral channels after min-max normalization. This approach provides a useful first approximation but is not a substitute for rigorous quantitative EDS analysis with appropriate standards.
